AMCP Foundation Managed Care Research & Nonprofit Leadership Summer Internship Program
The goal of this internship is to support the Foundation’s mission to invest in future-focused research. Working directly with executive and pharmacist staff within AMCP Foundation, the intern will learn nonprofit management principles and develop personal leadership skills. Further, the program is designed to ensure exposure to career options and varied functions within the industry. One intern will be placed virtually at AMCP Foundation headquarters in Alexandria, VA (outside Washington, D.C.).
During the 10-week program, the intern will be working closely with an AMCP Foundation staff and expanding their knowledge in managed care through research studies. The intern will also get an opportunity to lead educational webinars, Journal Club sessions and represent the AMCP foundations in different ventures. In addition, interns will be matched with virtual preceptors and present capstone research projects at AMCP Nexus. The program will provide a salary designed to cover most living expenses.
Interns must be enrolled as full-time Doctor of Pharmacy degree students in an ACPE-accredited school or college of pharmacy during the 2022–2023 school year with anticipated graduation in 2024 or 2025. They must be eligible for employment in the United States.
