Managed Care Internships

Since 1993, AMCP Foundation has offered a variety of unique Managed Care internships. Student pharmacists gain knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, health plans, pharmacy benefit management companies, and employer sites. Applications open in fall 2026.

Cathy A. Carroll Scholarship

The Carroll Scholarships are funded by the Cathy A. Carroll Memorial Fund and awarded to two student pharmacists towards their education in HEOR and industry.

Steven G. Avey Award

AMCP Foundation’s Steven G. Avey Award is the highest honor in managed care pharmacy, recognizing visionary leaders for distinguished service and lasting contributions to the field. Nominate a colleague, peer, or mentor.

National P&T Competition

AMCP Foundation’s annual Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Competition gives student pharmacists hands-on experience in formulary review and evidence-based decision-making by simulating a real P&T Committee. Finalists will be announced in March 2026, with top teams competing at AMCP 2026.
