Dr. Michael H. Taday, PharmD, MBA, is the Senior Vice President of Operations at CVS Health and a member of the Caremark Executive Leadership Team, where he oversees a Shared Services organization that ensures an efficient, compliant, and world-class experience for over 89M Commercial, Individual Exchange, Medicare, and Medicaid members, providers, and plan sponsor clients. He leads a team of more than 19,000 colleagues while managing Caremark’s Call Centers, Clinical Care Management Solutions, Member and Provider Experience, Process Improvement, Technology, and Compliance functions. He oversees multiple technology platforms and ensures the delivery of key business strategies for the pharmacy services division. Besides his love for people, leadership, and operations, Michael is a pharmacy and health plan thought leader, the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA), and currently sits on the Board of Trustees of the AMCP Foundation, where he champions the role of the pharmacist. He is passionate about driving simplicity, innovating the member experience, particularly through digital and AI solutions, and remains laser-focused on the people he serves (members, providers, clients, and colleagues). He has vast experience in large-scale organizations focused on growth, turnaround, and transformation including leading Aetna’s operations through a significant turnaround from 2023–2025 where he led not only the recovery of the Medicare Stars CAHPS program back to 4 stars, but then delivered an industry-leading position in 2024.

Prior to joining CVS Health, Michael spent nearly 14 years with Humana, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and had P&L responsibilities for Humana’s pharmacy assets (now branded as CenterWell) valued at $11B+. He has 20+ years of experience in Health Plan, PBM, Mail Order, Specialty, and Retail Pharmacy.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, 2 young sons, and Bernedoodle dog, hiking, traveling, collecting rare bourbons, and is an avid University of Arizona basketball and Cleveland Browns football fan.
