Dr. Yu is a seasoned healthcare leader with 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Head of Evidence for Access at Genentech. In this capacity, she leads a multidisciplinary team of health economists and data scientists focused on generating evidence to demonstrate the clinical and economic value of therapies for patients, providers, payers, and society. Over her 20-year tenure at Genentech, following roles at Amgen and AstraZeneca, Dr. Yu has overseen health economics and outcomes research in diverse therapeutic areas such as oncology, neurology, ophthalmology, immunology, and rare diseases, while leading collaborative initiatives with health systems and payers in care coordination, health equity, and quality measure development. A graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Southern California, her expertise in real-world data and population health aligns with the strategic goals of value-based care and improved patient outcomes.
