Kathleen Moreo, RN-BC, BSN, BHSA, CCM, CDMS, is CEO and founder of PRIME®, an accredited medical education and research company advancing the science of learning and behavior change among federal, payer, health system, and community providers and teams, as well as patients. Now entering its 25th year of service, PRIME has an established network through which impactful outcomes and published data are created and shared to advance patient-centered healthcare ecosystems. Moreo is actively engaged in the organization’s educational methodology and instructional design across learning solutions. She also serves as an external faculty of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy's Experiential Rotation program and volunteers as Vice President of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Foundation. She is also an editorial board member of the Professional Case Management Journal and editorial review member of the Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy.
Moreo has been multi-awarded by the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEhp) including the 2018 Award for Outstanding CE Outcomes Assessment; the 2017 Award for Outstanding Innovation; the 2016 William Campbell Felch Award for Research in CE; the 2016 Distinguished Leader Award; two 2016 SQUIRE Excellence Awards for Design and Outcomes; and the 2016 Overall Award for Best in Class Outcomes Award. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals showcasing the quantifiable impact of medical education. She has published extensively in mainstream journals in quality improvement, health policy reform, case management, and systems-based care coordination. She has authored 2 books for the American Nurses Association related to scope of practice for nursing case management. All works are accessible in PubMed. Past volunteer roles of distinction include national president of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA), president of the Case Management Society International (CMSI), and Commissioner for the Commission for Case Manager Certification.
Moreo graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in Nursing and summa cum laude with a bachelor in health services administration from Barry University in Miami, FL. She holds three advance-practice board certifications in care coordination, including nursing case management, interdisciplinary case management, and rehabilitation management.
